Senior Compliance Specialist

About the role 

International Human Resources Department is looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist for Europe Region. The HR Compliance Specialist is a pivotal role that ensures our company's Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices are in strict adherence to legal and industry standards. This position plays a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential compliance risks related to HR practices, developing and implementing HR compliance policies and procedures, and ensuring continuous improvement in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Compliance Checks: Review and update the company's HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they comply with all applicable laws and industry standards.
  2. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential compliance risks related to HR practices and propose mitigation strategies.
  3. Policy Development and Implementation: Assist in formulating and enforcing HR compliance policies and procedures.
  4. Compliance Audits: Conduct regular internal compliance system audits and assist in external audits as needed; routinely review and update HR processes and policy documents.
  5. Internal Training: Regularly provide compliance training, guidance, and Q&A sessions for management and staff.
  6. Employee Relations: Handle labor disputes and maintain healthy employer-employee relationships.
  7. Public Relations: Maintain and manage relationships with local government and relevant institutional departments.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and improve compliance processes and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirement: At least a bachelor's degree in law or human resource management, or a related field.
  • Experience Requirement: At least 5 years of experience in HR or compliance-related roles.
  • Knowledge of Relevant Laws and Regulations: Familiarity with labor laws, equal employment opportunity laws, etc.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in cross-departmental communication.
