BYD is expanding its operations in France to support a growing portfolio of New Electric Vehicle forklift, Passenger cars and LCVs projects.

About the department

The After Sales department within BYD Europe is responsible for all Service & Maintenance related topics concerning our full electric forklifts, buses & trucks. This is including, but not limited to, building up a service network in whole Europe, providing technical support to our customers and Service Providers, supporting the sales department by calculating Life Cycle Costs, development of the Spare Parts business and providing training. The main objective of the After Sales department is to contribute to Customer Satisfaction & loyalty.

One of the important tasks of the After Sales department is to provide Technical service to our Service Providers and customers. For the Technical & Warranty team, we are looking for a After Sales Engineer France for Forklift.

About the role

The After sales field Service Engineer is responsible for providing adequate service to our customers and Service Providers in order to maximize customer satisfaction. This includes building the best-in-class regional technical capability, standard and high efficiency technical operation. 

Under the responsibility of the France After-Sales Service Engineer, the field Service Engineer will visit dealerships to provide technical assistance. He will be able to write intervention reports in order to trace the problems identified. He is the direct technical link with the dealers. 

Responsibilities:

      • After-sales customer service and communications.
      • Handling of complaints and warranty cases.
      • planning site visits and attending customer sites in order to carry out, repair forklift with a view to commercial efficiency and viability and customer satisfaction.
      • developing and building strong links with customers
      • provide after-sale support for forklift products, ensure customer’s satisfaction
      • diagnose and trouble shoot technical issues with forklift, provide effective solution and give the service report to the manager
      • collaborate with the sales team to address customer’s concerns and provide technical support
      • Give regular training to the dealer about our forklift product
      • 2+ years experience in the forklift industry related.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & French languages.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

      • Experience in mechanical and electric engineering.
      • Effective planning and organizational skills.
      • Able to work on your own initiative.
      • Excellent communication skills.
