About the role:
The After Sales department within BYD Europe is responsible for all Service & Maintenance related topics concerning our full electric buses and trucks. The Operations Support Engineer (Technical) is responsible for providing adequate service to our customers and Service Providers in order to maximize customer satisfaction. This includes building the best-in-class regional technical capability, standard and high efficiency technical operation.
BYD is looking for an Operations Support Engineer (Technical) to support the After Sales Technical Support Team.
Responsibilities:
• Respond and provide technical solutions quickly through usage of a knowledge database, remote diagnostics, and on-call support;
• Organize and carry out remote technical training for new processes or product launches;
• Collect and report information for typical fault tendencies, latest and critical faults, and promote instant solutions of quality problems;
• First line of technical support, collecting all relevant data and escalation to Field Engineering team in case of further technical support requirements;
• Accessing, retrieving, and updating relevant technical database documentation for European Aftersales market;
• Verification process and release of technical notice and typical technical repair cases for European Aftersales market;
• Actively developing quick reference guides and enhances support tools to improve remote support capabilities;
• Providing training sessions and incentivizing knowledge sharing with different stakeholders;
• Act as liaison point between BYD Europe and BYD China technical teams facilitating cooperation and fast resolution of technical issues;
• Other responsibilities assigned from line manager.
Your profile:
- An automotive engineering or related background with a minimum 2 years’ experience;
- Fluent English and Mandarin are required. Other European language is a plus;
- Strong cross culture communication skills and cross-function coordination ability;
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines in a dynamic environment;
- NEV Technical background is preferable;
- Works precise and has eye for details;
- Is able to perform under time pressure;
- Is a team player and can also work independently;
- Is good in time management;
- Has a good communication skills.
