Position: Network Development Manager - Passenger Cars


Location: BYD UK - London Office

 Job Summary:

The Network Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the channel development and management activities of an automotive manufacturer. The primary objective is to ensure that the company's products are effectively delivered to end consumers through a diverse and efficient distribution network while achieving sales targets. The role requires close collaboration with dealers, agents, and other partners to establish and maintain strong business relationships, expand the sales network, and optimize channel performance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive channel development strategies to drive sales growth and increase market penetration;
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential market segments, evaluate competition, and explore new business opportunities;
  • Identify and evaluate potential channel partners, dealerships, and distributors to expand the company's distribution network;
  • Negotiate and establish contractual agreements with channel partners, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and policies;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of channel strategies;
  • Provide guidance and support to channel partners in implementing effective sales and marketing programs, including product launches, promotions, and incentive schemes;
  • Monitor channel performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed;
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for channel partners to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and overall performance;
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to adapt channel strategies accordingly;
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting channel performance, market insights, and recommendations for strategic enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful channel development and management in the automotive industry or a similar field.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to foster productive relationships with channel partners and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to influence and motivate others toward achieving common goals.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as required to visit channel partners and attend industry events.
