About the role
BYD is looking for Senior Solution Engineers to work in our team. The role is responsible for working with Energy Storage System Development to develop technical solutions and solve problems.
Main Tasks and responsibilities:
- Coordinate the needs of customers in the region, develop technical solutions and output quotations, or prepare technical bidding documents, and cooperate in completing the bidding
- Develop standard product specifications, technical solution packages, and technical agreement packages
- Lead the negotiation and signing of technical contracts
- Organize technical agreement review, product line contract evaluation, review, and countersigning
- Lead the negotiation and signing of technical contracts
- Complete the import of orders for internal project initiation, serve as the SR for approved projects, and solve customer issues
- Develop promotion strategies for energy storage products and solutions, and create promotional materials
- Online/offline promotion of products and solutions (visiting on business trips or receiving visiting customers for technical solution explanations and Q&A)
- Industry dynamics, industry development, regional market and competitor research and analysis
- Market price analysis and raw material cost trend analysis
- Collect, analyze, summarize industry standards, market competitors, and customer needs, and import them into the product line
- Internal team training and Iron Triangle training
- Complete other tasks assigned by the leader
Ideal candidate profile:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in the new energy or the power system industry
- Strong problem solving skills; ability to quickly translate customer opportunity or need into technical solutions.
- Ability to quickly become conversant with a wide range of Energy Storage System.
- Demonstrated experience in working with an international team.
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others.
- Computer knowledge and proficiency, including MS Office and CAD.
- Proactivity and attention to the details and time-discipline.
- Confidence in customer-facing situations, including UK cultural awareness.
- Fluent English
