As part of its expansion strategy in Turkey, BYD is seeking a highly experienced professional to support its growing portfolio of New Electric Vehicle Passenger Car.

About the role

 BYD Europe is looking for an HR Specialist for our new Passenger Car Business.

BYD Europe has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, results-driven and hands-on HR Specialist to help align the organization’s people strategy with its business strategy right from the start.

Working closely together with the Passenger Car Business Unit Management and partnering with your HR colleagues in the Netherlands and the HR team at our HQ in China, you will be responsible to design and lead the full employee journey. In the initial phase, recruitment of the talents for the new business unit, will be an important objective for you.

Your HRM experience will help our organization in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, resolving personnel grievances, retaining a talented workforce, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You are not only an administrative expert and a people champion, but also a change agent and a strategic partner for the business. You will provide advice to our management team regarding best practices to hire talent and maximize employee efficiencies.

As a critical contributor to the company success, you will help build a motivated, well balanced and multicultural work force to grow the BYD business in Europe, and an inclusive culture where the workforce feels empowered and where the business is seen as an employer of choice. You will join a dynamic organization, who are constantly growing and evolving. You are energetic, highly organized and passionate about electrical mobility.   

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a HR policy that aligns with business objectives and growth plans.
  2. Establish procedures and policies related to HR issues.
  3. Map out HR processes (e.g., onboarding and offboarding of new employees, compensation process, etc.)
  4. Advise and support managers on HR issues, serving as the first point of contact for employees.
  5. Assist in the recruitment and selection process.
  6. Contribute to the development.
  7. Identify and address HR challenges and provide solutions.
  8. Analyze business data and trends to identify HR needs and opportunities.
  9. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a similar role, having been exposed to all aspects of the HR field.
  2. HR Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of HR processes, policies, and procedures to apply data analysis in the HR field successfully.
  3. Organizational and project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  4. Adaptability to change: Comfortable with change, flexible, and adaptable to new initiatives.
  5. Teamwork and collaboration: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  6. Communication skills: Strong communication skills to effectively present HR data to various stakeholders.
  7. Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex HR issues and come up with creative solutions.
  8. Very good written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish, Chinese language is a plus.
