Technical Sales Manager - Electrical Buses

The Technical Sales Manager operates on the cross lines of the Project Management and Sales teams. He/she reports to the Manager–Technical Sales Europe and works closely together with the Regional Sales Manager-Italy.

The Technical Sales Manager has a thorough understanding and demonstrable experience of all stages of project management with a focus on defining the project scope and customer requirements. The Technical Sales Manager will also give support to the sales team by maintaining a collaborative relationship with the customers and by giving assistance during the tender process.

Main responsibilities: 

• Defining the requirements and scope of all projects within Italian Market;
• Coordinating with Technical Sales team in China to ensure requirements and design review are performed within the defined project timeline;
• Provide support during tender process.

Daily tasks:

• Develop a trusted, collaborative partnership with the customers;
• Ensure requirements flow to all internal stakeholders and customers;
• Responsible for managing customer expectations and scope change requests;
• Assist the tender team in drafting and submitting bids for tenders in Italy.

    Required skills, qualifications and experience:

    •10+years of experience as Requirements Engineer / Manager or similar roles with proven successful records of managing customers of varying sizes in parallel;
    •Solid knowledge of the automotive, preferably the E-Bus market;
    •Strong and effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and Italian. Mandarin is advantageous but not mandatory.
    •Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving;

    •Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering or similar;
    •Demonstrated experience in working with an international team;
    •Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others;
    •Willingness to travel for business purposes.

    •Relevant experience in similar B2B sectors;
    •Other European language skills;
    •Experience with High Tech Start-up / Electric Vehicles / Alternative Energy / Batteries.
