About the department:

The Sales Manager at BYD EUROPE B.V. plays a crucial role in achieving commercial goals in the designated region by fostering strong relationships with dealers, enhancing dealer performance, building the brand, and developing necessary tools and services. This role reports directly to the Country Manager.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Meet the assigned commercial objectives within the region.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the assigned dealer network and develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Provide detailed market insights and benchmark against competitors within the region.
  • Ensure consistency in the execution of corporate identity and adherence to sales standard guidelines within the dealer network.
  • Proactively network and identify opportunities for network development and improvements.
  • Collaborate with the local finance partner team to monitor the adoption rate of preferred financial solutions and create action plans based on feedback.
  • Oversee dealer financial statements, margin, return on sales, and overall profitability.
  • Ensure the effective rollout of Net Promoter Score (NPS) customer satisfaction surveys and prioritize customer feedback.
  • Act as a BYD ambassador and the primary point of contact for the sales team within the area of responsibility.

Key Results:

  • Commercial & Funnel Management Metrics:
    • Achieve order goals and registration goals.
    • Manage the lead to test drive funnel and test drive to order conversion rates.
    • Monitor stock KPIs and marketing execution in the assigned area.
  • Customer Happiness:
    • Achieve high NPS scores.
    • Define and follow up on specific fleet requirements.
  • Financial Solutions:
    • Develop market and customer-relevant financial solutions.
    • Track financial partner-specific KPIs.
    • Oversee order to cash follow-up.


Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the commercial area at NSC or OEM headquarters within the automotive industry or mobility services.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Legal, or Finance.
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset, excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work proactively with efficient time management skills.
  • Resilient, open-minded, results-oriented, with great negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in English. Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; thorough knowledge of commercial management software and digital tools.
