About the Department:
BYD is rapidly expanding operations in the UK. The UK Network team are laying the foundations for the brand by establishing a strong franchise retailer network. However, this is no ordinary Network Development role with the team driving unprecedented network growth targeting 80 stores by the end of 2024!
About the role
As the Network Development Manager, you will manage the expansion of BYD UK's retailer network while supporting and developing our existing stores. This role involves frequent travel, a valid driver's license, and collaboration with retailers and various departments across the business. Main Tasks and responsibilities:
- Investor Engagement: Lead the identification, screening, and management of new retailer partners to expand market share and enhance brand influence.
- Network Strategy: Support the development of the network strategy for the UK, including future BYD brands.
- Retailer Relationships: Maintain close communication with existing retailers, addressing their needs and fostering ongoing collaboration.
- Retailer Onboarding: Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, marketing, logistics, and product development, to ensure seamless onboarding.
- KPI Development: Develop and implement KPIs for the Network team, focusing on profitability.
- Management Reporting: Report on key performance indicators and network development milestones to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in network development, dealership management, or a relatable role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with dealerships and internal teams.
- Ability to travel frequently and hold a valid driver's license.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and expanding market presence.
