About the department:
The Procurement Department is vital for acquiring goods and services efficiently. Its core functions include:
- Sourcing: Identifying and selecting suitable suppliers through market research and negotiation.
- Purchasing: Ensuring goods are procured at the right price, quantity, and quality, while adhering to contracts.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet demand and minimize stock issues.
- Cost Management: Negotiating prices, seeking cost-saving opportunities, and implementing reduction strategies.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with suppliers, quality, and ethics.
- Performance Measurement: Monitoring supplier performance to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Collaboration with other departments such as finance, sales, and production is essential for smooth operations. Effective procurement can save costs, improve quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes, updating them for efficiency.
- Manage supplier information, contracts, and purchase orders accurately.
- Coordinate deliveries, monitor payments, and resolve issues promptly.
- Analyze procurement data, prepare reports, and lead system implementations.
- Provide cross-border procurement support and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with teams, identify suppliers, and manage project execution.
- Ensure quality assurance, compliance, and budget management.
- Emphasize timeliness and digitization, fostering a culture of collaboration and improvement.
Qualification requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement-related roles, with a strong interest in and understanding of electric vehicles.
- Demonstrate robust skills in contract management and negotiation.
- Proficient or native-level proficiency in both Italian and English, knowing Chinese will be your advantage.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, with knowledge of SAP or similar inventory management systems.
- Approach work with diligence, a collaborative spirit, and a focus on results.
- Local procurement resources and logistics experience in Italy will be a special advantage.
