Job Summary:
The Operations Support Department is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services needed. Its main objective is to obtain the right goods and services at the right price, quantity, and time from the right supplier. The Operations Support Department is an important part of any organization as it affects the overall performance of the company. Effective procurement can help save costs, improve quality, reduce lead time, and increase customer satisfaction. The department needs to work closely with other departments such as finance, sales, production, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support and collaborate with internal departments:
• Assist in identifying potential resource development opportunities for internal departments, providing support based on market demands and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand product requirements and market trends, guiding the execution of resource development projects.
• Promptly respond to internal department needs and requests, providing necessary resource development solutions.
• Cross-border Procurement Support: Provide procurement support across European countries, coordinating procurement activities in different regions: Ensure procurement activities in different countries comply with local regulations and company policy requirements.
2. Project planning and execution:
• Develop detailed plans for resource development projects, including schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of resource development projects.
• Monitor project progress, identify any potential risks or delays, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
3. Supplier identification and qualification:
• Identify potential suppliers of raw materials, components, and services to meet the needs of resource development projects.
• Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on criteria such as quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with selected suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
4. Support and coordination for procurement engineers:
• Provide support and assistance to procurement engineers and procurement teams, coordinating the execution and progress of resource development projects.
• Offer professional advice and guidance to ensure smooth and successful completion of procurement and resource development work.
5. Quality assurance and compliance:
• Establish quality standards and specifications for resources to ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and financial and audit requirements.
• Conduct regular quality checks and audits of purchased resources to verify compliance with specifications.
• Promptly address any quality issues or non-conformities and implement corrective measures.
6. Budget management and cost control:
• Develop and manage budgets for resource development projects, ensuring effective use of financial resources.
• Monitor project expenditures and track budget variances, implementing cost-saving measures when necessary.
• Provide regular budget reports and updates to management, highlighting any deviations from planned expenditures.
7. Timeliness and digitization:
• Emphasize adherence to project schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of resource development projects.
• Prior to the launch of systems such as SAP, support and cooperate with system launches, providing comprehensive information, signing relevant agreements, etc.
• After the launch of information systems (such as SAP), ensure integration and coordination of resource development projects with the system.
• Implement effective project management strategies, optimize time allocation, and minimize delays.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders, provide project progress updates, and address any scheduling issues.
8. Continuous improvement and digitization:
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement, driving continuous improvement of resource development functions.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the resource development process.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team, encouraging feedback and idea sharing.
9. Collaboration and communication:
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and synergy in resource development work.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, providing timely updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries. 10. Documentation and reporting:
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resource development activities, including contracts, purchase orders, supplier agreements, and project reports.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management, summarizing project progress, key milestones, and performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of 2024 or At least 1 years’ relevant experience in the Automotive industry
- Affinity with electric mobility. Strong contract management and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English. Being able to speak Dutch or other European language is a plus.
- Very good PowerPoint & Excel user skills, have user knowledge of SAP and/ or other stock control program.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and results oriented.
- Flexibility, and integrity in personality.
