Job Summary:
The Southern-based Rental & PCO Manager is responsible for driving rental and PCO sales, developing key accounts, and increasing BYD’s market share within the defined southern region. This role requires proactive engagement with major daily rental companies, local rental partners, PCO operators, and dealerships to maximise sales and ensure customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to position BYD as the leading brand in the rental and PCO sectors.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for rental and PCO sectors in Southern England, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Identify, prospect, and grow BYD’s corporate database within the rental and PCO markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with rental and PCO customers, dealerships, and key stakeholders to ensure continuous market growth.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations for pricing, product positioning, and promotional strategies.
- Ensure BYD vehicles are competitively positioned within channel policies, including negotiating fleet support and preparing business cases where necessary.
- Support and oversee promotional activities such as test drive events, static displays, and scheme launches to enhance brand presence and sales effectiveness.
- Negotiate and manage rental and PCO contracts, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to deliver seamless customer experiences and effective fleet sales programmes.
- Address and resolve customer and partner issues promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and brand reputation management.
- Provide ongoing training and support to rental and PCO partners to enhance product knowledge and sales performance.
- Regularly travel within the southern region to meet clients, attend industry events, and conduct business meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, but significant industry experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in rental, PCO, or fleet sales within the automotive sector.
- Strong understanding of the rental and PCO market, including leasing, corporate sales, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability to assess market trends and translate them into business opportunities.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite to manage customer relationships and sales reporting.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Willingness to travel across the southern region, with occasional overnight stays.
