About the role:
Due to the expansion of our activities, BYD Europe is looking for Logistics Specialist – Delivery planning to work in the Vehicle Logistics department.
Vehicle Logistics department takes care of the inbound of all the vehicles that are imported from HQ and other factories in Europe, and also the distribution of those vehicles to different European countries. Vehicle Logistics department is responsible for exploring the most suitable solutions for all logistics issues in the automotive division. The Logistics Specialist – Delivery planning role is a key to the success of the fulfilment to customers and orders.
Responsibilities:
- Effective communication with all company departments in Europe, logistics colleagues from BYD China HQ and external communication with LSP (Logistics Service Providers) and dealers;
- Operations within the different systems to be used, that is used as the whole process control for the movement of the cargo or for the purpose of finance control, for example CRM, ERP or SAP system;
- Organize and provide real time information for the POs and deliveries;
- Continuous improvement of the whole logistics flow;
- Control the logistics cost and provide the most efficient logistics solution.
As a Logistics Specialist you will:
- Daily communication with other colleagues & departments.
- Collecting and organizing POs based on markets, vehicle models, and expected delivery dates;
- Allocating vehicles to the POs according to different factors like locations, the status of incoming shipments, and the priorities of POs;
- Communicating with LSPs to seek potential logistics possibilities with appropriate quotations;
- Making delivery plan based on priorities of POs, quotations, trucking & shipping capacities, locations, and communications internally and externally;
- Monitoring the delivery situations by communicating with team members who arrange transport;
- Tracking the quantity of the vehicles that are inbound, in stock and outbound and delivered;
- Daily data maintenance & update with systems & without systems (e.g. excels);
- Participating and assisting in setting up BYD logistics supplier list;
- Involved in monthly review meeting with logistics suppliers;
- Monitoring potential problems and bottlenecks and exploring ways to improve working flow;
- Providing support to all the procedures when it is needed.
Your profile:
- Preferably up to 3 years of related working experience or graduate of related study field;
- Bachelor`s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, data analysis or business management.
- Proficient Excel user skills;
- Excellent English & Chinese language skills, Dutch or any other European language will be considered as an advantage;
- Stress-resilient with the problem –solving mindset;
- Team player with attention to detail.
