About the department:
BYD is market leader across all ranges - passenger cars, trucks, buses and warehousing equipment.
The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology road map for Europe and works on developing advanced, full electric vehicles series, which fulfill current and future European private transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers, the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.
As R&D Engineer, you will do research, analysis and evaluation of E-mobility products, user experience and usability of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. You will use these research insights for the product development and iteration, working closely together with product, design and engineering teams.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Vehicle packaging and ergonomics work on European models;
- Technical support on vehicle technical documents drafting;
- Organize and plan competitor vehicle analysis in packaging and ergonomics area;
- Other tasks may related to the field.
Your profile:
- Major: automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or relative;
- 18-45 years old;
- Familiar with vehicle architecture layouts and proficient in regulations of vision, clearance, ergonomic, and safety requirements;
- At least three years of experience in a similar role in the automotive industry;
- Passionate about New Energy Vehicles Industry;
- Self-motivated but also an active team player;
- Fluent in English.
