As we continue our rapid expansion in Europe, we are looking for a dedicated Legal Counsel to join our team and be based in Szeged, Hungary. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of our dynamic legal team, supporting our business operations and growth in the region.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the legal affairs of our Hungarian company, including establishing mechanisms for risk prevention and control, as well as emergency handling and response.
  • Research laws and policies relevant to the business, provide legal advice for decision-making and business operations, and conduct legal training as needed.
  • Identify, analyze, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks associated with the company’s operations in Hungary. Provide legal support for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, company policies, and other legal documents.
  • Oversee and follow up on local litigation and non-litigation legal matters.
  • Handle other related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Hungarian laws.
  • At least three years of legal experience; experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Solid experience in legal compliance matters, including but not limited to data protection, competition law, and export control. Experience in handling labor law matters is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and coordination abilities, high execution efficiency, and the ability to work well under pressure. Experience in team management is a plus.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and diligent, with the ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Fluency in both English and Hungarian (written and spoken) is required. Chinese language skills are preferred.
  • Experience in handling overseas investment projects or litigation cases for Chinese enterprises in Hungary is preferred.
